Martin Mycoo is a Music Supervisor at Format Entertainment. His comprehensive knowledge and taste in multiple genres of music has afforded him the opportunity to work across a range of TV and film projects. He is happiest when exploring and experimenting with different genres through various stories.
Recently, Martin worked on Marvel’s Secret Invasion and Loki (Season 2) and supervised Peacock’s song-driven comedy Young Rock (Season 2 + 3). His forthcoming work includes the Lionsgate action feature Shadow Force (starring Omar Sy & Kerry Washington) and Marvel/Disney+ series: Daredevil, Ironheart,and the animated series Eyes of Wakanda.
Before Format, Martin was a part of all3Media America’s in-house music supervision team where he worked on unscripted projects like the Emmy award-winning Celebrity Undercover Boss, United Shades of America with Kamau Bell, and Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back.
Martin began his career in the music industry working with record labels and promotional companies on a variety of album releases for gold and multi-platinum artists. Some highlights were Mos Def’s Black On Both Sides, Mobb Deep’s Murda Muzik, Outkast’s Stankonia, and The Roots’ Phrenology. He received his BA in Communications with a minor in Marketing from San Francisco State University, and a certificate in Intellectual Property Law from NYU.
Martin currently sits on the governing board of Sounds Of Savings, a music and mental health non-profit for youth and marginalized communities. He is a rare Los Angeles native – Inglewood born and raised.
