Christian Zabala is a Music Supervisor and Coordinator at Format Entertainment. Born and raised in Seattle, Christian devoted much of his childhood to playing basketball with his family or dancing to MTV music videos. He hoped to one day play in the NBA or to become the sixth member of NSYNC. His ambitions dimmed once he realized that playing in the NBA took a certain amount of athleticism and height, and then…NSYNC broke up. Christian recovered from his shattered dreams, finding solace by developing an interest in DJ’ing and music production, which led to playing at various venues in the Seattle area and collaborating with local artists.

After graduating from Seattle University, he worked at PlayNetwork, helping shape the sound of in-store music for Starbucks, NYX Cosmetics, Adidas, Alaska Airlines, and a number of small businesses. Upon moving to Los Angeles, he began working for Universal Music Publishing Group, clearing music for various films, shows, and streaming platforms.

Christian works as the music supervisor for Call Me Kat and Netflix’s upcoming animated series Devil May Cry. He has worked as music coordinator on projects such as The Midnight Club, Ultraman, In The Dark, The Rookie: FEDS, and upcoming Marvel Disney+ releases. When he is not busy listening to music, you'll likely find him making beats, practicing magic tricks, nerding out on superheroes, reading, or on the moderately rare occasion… bowling.
